About

Elkstock 2024 is an all day music festival featuring many of the bands and performers of Denver Elks Lodge #17, The Mother Lodge of the Rockies. Every band performing throughout the day has at least one member of this lodge. The purpose of this festival is to showcase the amazing amount of talent that can be found here, and to foster connections between all of these musicians and the community as a whole. In addition to the festival on June 1st, many of the bands featured at Elkstock will be performing throughout the summer and fall in summer concerts in the lodge’s beer garden.

Part of the impetus for this festival was to highlight the important role that music has always played for the BPOE, starting with the founding of the first lodge by the Jolly Corks, and still today our community of musicians and artists are integral to the heart and soul of our lodge. We would love for this to become an annual event, and part of an ongoing celebration of our musical heritage. Just as music brought the original Elks together, it can continue to connect us. In the future we would love to branch out and invite bands from other lodges, new members and members that weren’t able to participate this year, and any other artists that would like to contribute.

Any proceeds from the festival will be used to improve the performance spaces and equipment at the Lodge, so that we can continue to grow the music scene here. We will be collecting donations and selling merchandise throughout the day, and throughout the summer concert series.

More about…

This festival is being organized by the Music and Events Committee of Lodge #17. If you would like to volunteer for this event or any other, or join us at a committee meeting, drop us an email. If you’re a band that we didn’t know about to approach for the festival, let us know and we’ll get you in the rotation next year! If you think this is a terrible idea, and you want to let us know how misguided and foolish we are, again, send us an email and we’ll read it aloud over a drink at our next committee meeting.
